Playstyle String Tricks
C3 YoYo Design – Speedaholic – Pink – Profile
A strong performer in the $15 or less price bracket from Japanese brand C3 YoYo Design. It’s fast and and feels light on the string and stable enough for newbies. It’s not very forgiving so I might suggest something else for your first unresponsive throw but if you’re looking for a cheap beater and you’ve been around the block yourself, the Speedaholic is a great bet!
“Best unresponsive for those still acclimating to the hobby. I found it to be very forgiving when learning binds and string tricks. This is an excellent way to test out your own dedication to the hobby. If you give up, you're only out $15, and if you stick with it, the Speedaholic will serve you well until you are ready to advance. 4 stars due to the unstickiness of the stickers.”
“Notice that this rating also includes the price, which is a crazy low 13.50 plus shipping. This is definitely better than the sage, another plastic yoyo recommended to beginners. I played with this yoyo for the first couple of months of learning to throw. It is unstable and definitely does not spin as long as some of the medium priced metals. However it's still very fun to throw and I havent felt the need to replace it as my goto plastic when i'm playing on concrete.”
“Sleeps for a fair amount of time, good for basic 1A string tricks. Definitely would recommend to anyone new to yoyoing.”
“Great throw for new players. Sleeps for a good amount of time. Is good in terms of beginner string tricks. Would recommend for new to intermediate players.”
“The Speedaholic is a fantastic introduction to the world or unresponsive yoyos. It comes with a decent price and solid performance. The Speedaholic does tend to wander if left hanging and can be vibey at times if not thrown precisely. Still for the price you would be hard pressed to find much competition.”
“Speedaholic is one of the best unresponsive throws that you can get as a beginner. Large size helps to land string tricks, decent sleep time and stability allow you to take time with tricks. I think it’s one of the best starting yoyos, price to quality wise. The only downside are stickers on sides which like to tear out way to easy, so have in mind that your yoyo may become raw speedaholic without stickers.”
“C3 isn't Japanese :P”
“Well made and cheap plastic throw. I found it to be more on the unstable side. So that can play either way. Overall a nice yo yo that makes a nice addition.”
