Playstyle String Tricks
YoYo Factory – Genesis – Red with Silver Splash – Profile
The Genesis has been around for a long time and there’s been a lot of itterations of it. It’s stable, fairly fast but pretty heavy on the string. It’s super wide catch zone, combined with those other characteristics make it great for learning new tricks with. I got the Genesis on a bit of a whim but I don’t regret it.
“The genesis was my third yoyo, and my second metal unresponsive. With that said it is still one of my favorite yoyos to play with. The stock bearing it came with and pads leave a bit to be desired but the yoyo itself plays very smoothly after I swapped out the bearing. It has helped me learn many tricks I couldn't learn for the life of me on my other yoyos and is definitely one of my daily throws. I would highly recommend this yoyo to both beginners and advanced throwers alike.”
“I got a 2011, maybe, version for $50. It's way stable, big, and slow. You can definitely tell it's built for 5A, but it's pretty good at 1A as well. Good for learning tricks and practicing horizontal.”
“The Genesis with hubstacks was my fourth Yoyo. I received it in a trade and instantly fell in love with it. The weight with hubstacks makes it a little heavy, which was fine, but the weight without was perfect. I use a koncave bearing on it and it is definitely my most used Yoyo. 10/10 would recommend.”
