Caribou Lodge – Arctic Circle 2 – Hulk Smash Fade – Profile
As I said in my words about the original, it’s a very stable and long spinning while remaining light on the string and easy to manage. It’s hardly a slouch but it’s no rocket either. It’s so wide that whips and lacerations seem to find you making it very easy to use. A great choice if you’re new to Caribou Lodge as it sets the tone very well for the rest of their line up.
“CLYW specializes in two types of yoyos: yoyos that push the limits of some aspect of yoyo design, and yoyos that are generally all around performers. The Arctic Circle is a performer, which, to a lot of people is a good thing. I find it to be a bit boring. The AC2 has a very gentle H shape that almost borders on O. It tends to play a bit on the faster end of the spectrum, but while its far from being the fastest yoyo in my collection, it is on the faster end of CLYW yoyos. Despite its lack of a spoke, it doesn't perform well for finger spins, though it does perform fairly well in horizontal play.”
“Fast, stable, long spinning, a performance beast. Can handle any thing you throw at it. Fingerspins aren't amazing but they are doable. Finish is great for grinds. It is one of my favorites, for sure.”
